Democrats are outraged at George Bush’s remarks about “appeasement”!!!

“Democrats erupted in outrage on Thursday after President George W. Bush suggested a pledge by the party’s presidential front-runner Barack Obama to meet Iran’s leader was akin to appeasement of Nazi Germany.” – Yahoo News

Bush made these rude and inappropriate comments in Jerusalem went talking to the Israeli parliament during celebrations for Israel‘s 60th anniversary. “Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” Bush said. After saying some thing about a “foolish delusion” he went on to say,

“As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history,”

Now lets hear what Obama has to say about this whole fiasco.

“It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel’s independence to launch a false political attack,” He then went on to say,

George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the president’s extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel,”

As if this was enough McCain wanted a piece of Obama too. He also said something strikingly similar to what Mr.Bush said.

“It shows naivete and inexperience and lack of judgment to say that he wants to sit down across the table from an individual who leads a country that says that Israel is a ‘stinking corpse,’ that is dedicated to the extinction of the state of Israel. My question is, what does he want to talk about?” McCain said.

It was Clinton to the rescue as she came to Obama’s defense although she criticized Obama’s pledge to meet Ahmadinejad. “President Bush’s comparison of any Democrat to Nazi appeasers is both offensive and outrageous on the face of it,” she told reporters.

“Many Democrats slammed Bush and pointed out the words of his own defense secretary, Robert Gates, who said on Wednesday: “We need to figure out a way to develop some leverage with respect to the Iranians and then sit down and talk with them.” – Yahoo News

I must say the Democrats really handled this well, I hope Mr.Bush and his little friend McCain learn their lesson not to mess with the Democrats.

“If George Bush believes engagement with Iran is appeasement, the first thing he should do when he comes home is demand the resignation of his own Cabinet,” former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, an Obama supporter, said.

House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, said Bush’s remarks were “beneath the dignity of the office of the president and unworthy of our representation at that observance in Israel.”

Okay, now here’s what I think. Firstly, I knew something like this was going to happen; I just didn’t know it was going to begin so early. I don’t know if anyone remembers when Mr.Bush called John Jerry a “flip-flopper”, Mr. Bush then went on to win the election. Secondly, thats probably why McCain is so quite; he is thinking of ways (with Mr.Bush) to degrade the Democrats and mainly Barrack Obama. Thirdly, If Barrack Obama becomes the democratic nomanee, which I think he will, then Mr.Bush and McCain will call him a terrorist and basically just make up a bunch of false allegations and throw them upon Barrack Obama, forcing him to waste his time apologizing and trying to flip the false allegations back on McCain while McCain is making massive ground collecting electorial votes at record time. Thus, beating Barrack Obama by 20 to 30%. Thats what I think!

What do you think?

I think the American people should take off their blinders of Media & Political spin and take a long, hard look at reality, then take a deep breath. Given the US backed the overthrow of the Iranian government decades ago, Iranians still love the USA. A view from inside of Iran, instead of some manufactured lie out of a smoke-filled basement room in Washington, DC

People should read Persepolis, then watch the movie, before they swallow every spoonful of propaganda their government feeds them.

Nuking is strong, talking is weak?! If not mistaken, talking got John McBush out of captivity in Vietnam, whereas bombs would have gotten him a bullet to the head.
