Grand Theft Auto IV to support 16-person multiplayer!

The Official PlayStation Magazine of Spain reports that GTA IV will feature 15 different online play modes.

According to mag scans on the GTA Forums, there will be 15 online modes, seven of which were previewed by PlayStation Revista Oficial. Modes include:

  • Hangman’s NOOSE
  • Car Jack City
  • Bomb da Base
  • Bomb da Base II
  • Mafia Work
  • Team Mafia Work
  • Deathmatch
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Turf War
  • Cops N Crooks
  • Race
  • GTA Race
  • Deal Breaker
  • Free Mode
  • ???

While besting up to 16 players online, Race and GTA Race reportedly allow the host gamer to decide which vehicles are involved and the number of laps. The other modes include both co-op, free for all, and objective-based missions, all of which the host player can manage with custom parameters.

Grand Theft Auto IV arrives on Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 29. The third-person action game carries an MSRP of $59.99 and is rated Mature. - Gamepro.com
